Dear Locusers,
new version of Locus Map app is available on Google Play. We daresay that this release is quite different than previous ones. The reason is new point screen, which is completely changed.
Point screen
New point screen is well arranged and fits for different types of points. Point screen uses full size of your display. You’re able to see more fields and small map preview with direction arrow. Also editing of point is quicker – change the field and simple press back button. Locus automatically saves your changes. Have you tried to add some attachments to the point? The new version has new manager for attachments and you can also add arbitrary file as attachment.
Track recording and waypoints
Recorded track can contain standard points with defined name, attachment or description. Let’s start recording and add new waypoint. They are shown as small red arrows.
Google Places
Google Places is very powerful feature for searching of POIS near to your location. In new version you can load detailed information as photos, opening hours, phone numbers or web pages (Try it Locus > Menu > Search >Google Places).
Other improvements
In the latest version you can highlight the Geocaching logs of your geocaching friends. Garmin icons are fully supported and there are lots of fixed issues: eq. problem with automatic backup, import more zip file at one or direct import files from emails.

i can‘t put telephone numbers or URL in the new version in my new points. in older versions of locus pro i can. thanks.

what happen when you try to insert any phone number to any point? Is Locus reporting any error to You? If so, try to describe us a step by step what you do and what values You try to insert. Thank you and sorry for a troubles
Hi Voldy, two things concerning http://help.locusmap.eu
1) When I try to open that link, I get an error message "License Validation checks are damaged or tampered". Looks like several redirects. No idea whether it's a server side problem, something with the connection, or a client problem.
2) What's the relation to https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/ ? If it's going to be replaced, what's with the existing data?

1) it was temporary problem - hope it works fine now
2) GetSatisfaction will be completely deleted. As you may see now on Help Desk, all data from GetSatisfaction was moved to Help Desk so there will be no lost.
