Outdoor navigation app is developed at a desk in a warm office, however, its terrain testing is its inseparable part. Locus is being tested practically continuously, all members of Locus team test it, their families test it, their friends as well... and of course the vast user community lead by the Beta testers - geeks who love testing otherwise unavailable features, gadgets and improvements.

Most of the time Locus team members work individually as each of us lives in different part of Czechia. We meet regularly in our Prague office for briefings, brain-stormings and meetings with partners. Anyway, sometimes it's necessary to hit the road together - it's healthy for body, soul and mainly for the team atmosphere. We call it by the fashionable term "teambuilding". Today we'd like to uncover a bit of our anonymity and that's why there's this short photo report.

This year we set out to the Moravian Karst. We established our base in a rented cabin nearby Boskovice from where we launched our Saturday expedition to the Macocha abyss and Punkevni caves. During the ride there we tested the new live tracking so that we knew the position of each car. On the spot we threw ourselves into geocaching hunt and Peter mapped new details for OpenStreetMap, which is the source of data for our LoMaps. Everybody recorded their tracks (some of us forgot to switch it off in the caves) and tested the GPS sensitivity on the bottom of the Macocha abyss:
