Vor einiger Zeit haben wir mit einer neuen Locus Version das komplette Portfolio der Outdoor Karten des Deutsch-\u00d6sterreichischen Verlages Kompass<\/a><\/strong> mit aufgenommen. F\u00fcr Locus war dies einer der wichtigsten Meilensteine – die Verbindung von Locus mit seiner modernsten Technik auf dem Gebiet der mobilen Navigation mit den hochqualitativen Karten eines der renommiertesten Kartenverlage.<\/p>\n

Ein Blick auf die Geschichte<\/h2>\n

Die erste Karte die unter dem Markennamen Kompass<\/strong> im Jahre 1953 herausgegeben wurde stammte von Heinz Fleischmann, einem Ingenieur aus M\u00fcnchen. Diese Karte im Ma\u00dfstab 1:50.000 umfasste den Bereich Berchtesgaden – Bad Reichenhall<\/strong> und enthielt eine ansehnliche Menge an n\u00fctzlichen Informationen f\u00fcr Wanderer und Bergsteiger wie Schirouten, Gastst\u00e4tten, Schutzh\u00fctten etc..<\/p>\n

Zu dieser Zeit war dies ein enormer Fortschritt und auch die Grundsteinlegung f\u00fcr eines der gr\u00f6\u00dften europ\u00e4ischen Verlagsh\u00e4user. Nur sieben Jahre sp\u00e4ter gr\u00fcndete Kompass<\/strong> eine Zweigniederlassung in Innsbruck (AT) und erweiterte sein Angebot auf 33 Outdoor Karten. In weiterer Folge \u00fcbernahm Mairs Geografischer Verlag<\/strong> das Unternehmen und verlegte die Firmenzentrale nach Innsbruck in Tirol.<\/p>\n

Das 50-j\u00e4hrige Firmenjubil\u00e4um 2003 markierte zugleich eine neue \u00c4ra: Die ersten digital gezeichneten und f\u00fcr GPS-Einsatz optimierten Wanderkarten erscheinen als CD auf dem Markt. Es waren die Karten von Lanzarote und Fuerteventura. Ab 2009 wurden auch f\u00fcr die Belange von Radtouristen und Radsportler optimierten Karten herausgegeben womit die Zahl der Outdoor-Karten auf \u00fcber 700 Titel angewachsen war die eine Fl\u00e4che vom Norden D\u00e4nemarks bis zu den Kanarischen Inseln abdecken.<\/p>\n

Was ist der Vorzug der Kompass Karten?<\/h2>\n

Die Karten sind unglaublich sauber gezeichnet, sehr \u00fcbersichtlich und ihre Genauigkeit ist unerreicht. In Locus stehen 4 Zoomebenen zur Verf\u00fcgung – 10, 12, 14 und 15 – die selbstverst\u00e4ndlich weiter skaliert werden k\u00f6nnen. Zus\u00e4tzlich zur Kartenbasis – dem Topolayer – enthalten die Karten Wanderwege mit verschiedenen Schwierigkeitseinstufungen (dargestellt als durchgehende, gestrichelte und gepunktete Linie), sowohl lokale Radwege als auch \u00fcberregionale Radrouten, Symbole von Touristischen Einrichtungen (Bergh\u00fctten, Gastst\u00e4tten, Hotels, Schutzh\u00fctten, etc..), Natursch\u00f6nheiten, Kulturdenkm\u00e4ler, usw..<\/p>\n

Die Gel\u00e4ndekontouren werden mit H\u00f6henschichtenlinien in Abstand von 20 H\u00f6henmetern und zus\u00e4tzlich durch Schattierung dargestellt.<\/p>\n

Wo k\u00f6nnen die Kompass Karten bezogen werden?<\/h2>\n

Alle Kompass<\/strong> Karten sind im Locus Store<\/strong>\u00a0verf\u00fcgbar (Men\u00fc > Locus Store\u00a0> Anbieter\u00a0> Kompass). Die Karten sind nach L\u00e4ndern sortiert und werden als fertige Blattschnitte angeboten wobei Sie auch eigene Kartenschnitte selbst festlegen k\u00f6nnen. Die Preise variieren entsprechend der Kartengr\u00f6\u00dfe (der Kartenabdeckung). Bei der Wahl eigener Blattschnitte werden 9 LoCoins f\u00fcr jeweils 100 Kartenkacheln verrechnet. Kompass<\/strong> Karten sind verf\u00fcgbar f\u00fcr Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich, Belgien, D\u00e4nemark, Tschechische Republik, Frankreich, Ungarn, Italien, Luxemburg, Niederlande, Polen, Portugal, Slowenien, Spanien und die Schweiz.<\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
