\nJedes Mal wenn ich aufbreche um ein neues Land kennenzulernen erfasst mich ein Gef\u00fchl der Spannung – wie Schmetterlinge im Bauch, verbunden mit der Erwartung der Abenteuer die auf mich zukommen. Nie zuvor sp\u00fcrte ich dies intensiver als ich den langen Flug von London-Heathrow nach Tokyo Narita antrat. Nicht zuletzt deswegen da dies meine erste Reise zu einem f\u00fcr mich v\u00f6llig fremden Kontinent war.<\/p>\n

Tokyo<\/h2>\n

Die meiste Zeit verbrachten wir auf Entdeckungstour in der Hautstadt mit ihren alten Tempeln und Schreinen die in einem starken Kontrast zu den ultra-modernen Hochh\u00e4usern und den oft futuristisch anmutenden Restaurants und Gesch\u00e4ften stehen. Die Shibuya Diagonalkreuzung ist der belebteste Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger\u00fcbergang der Welt, hier queren zu jeder Ampelphase 2.500 Menschen. Wir fanden einen traditional Cache, den ‚Loneliness‘ auch ohne Hilfe (GC252PG<\/a>), der der Statue des in Japan ber\u00fchmten Hundes namens Hachik\u014d entspricht der jeden Tag am Eingang der Shibuya Station auf die R\u00fcckkehr seines Besitzers von der Arbeit wartete. Dies war zweifellos jener Cache-Fund von uns der innerhalb der gr\u00f6\u00dften Menschentraube stattfand die nichts mit Geocaching am Hut hatte – allerdings garantierte die schiere Menge an Menschen das ohnehin niemand auf uns achtete.<\/p>\n

\"Shibuya<\/a>
Shibuya Diagonalkreuzung<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Der Sens\u014d-ji Buddhist Tempel ist eine der am meisten besuchten Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten in Tokyo und auch Heimst\u00e4tte eines der beliebtesten Geocaches in Japan: Asakusa Kaminarimon (GC38J50<\/a>). Der Cache befindet sich knapp au\u00dferhalb des Haupteinganges des Tempelbereiches und auch hier in einer Umgebung voll mit Nicht-Geocachern. Es handelt sich um einen kleinen Cache der nette kleine Nippes, passend zum Cache-Namen, enth\u00e4lt und ich konnte auch einige meiner Travel Bugs hinterlegen. <\/p>\n

\"Sensoji<\/a>
Sensoji Tempel Tokyo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

W\u00e4hrend unseres Besuches im Tokyo Disney Sea Themenpark haben wir auch den EarthCache "Mt. Prometheus \/ \u30d7\u30ed\u30e1\u30c6\u30a6\u30b9\u706b\u5c71 " (GC31H0H<\/a>) in Augenschein genommen, dieser Geocache basiert auf der sehr realistischen Nachbildung eines Vulkans innerhalb des Parks. Dies war auch das erste Mal das ich einen EarthCache fand der auf der Nachbildung einer geologischen Struktur basiert – allerdings ist die Nachbildung dieses Vulkans in allen Einzelheiten derart detailgetreu das sich die \u00f6rtlichen Gutachter und auch Groundspeak dazu entschlossen haben diesen EarthCache zuzulassen. Wahrscheinlich werden wir nie wieder so nahe an einen "eruptierenden" Vulkan heran kommen der Abends, w\u00e4hrend der Light-Show, beginnt "Lava" zu speien! <\/p>\n

\"Tokyo<\/a>
Tokyo Disney Sea Themenpark<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kyoto<\/h2>\n

In Kyoto, der fr\u00fcheren Hauptstadt von Japan, ist das Tempo des Lebens etwas ged\u00e4mpfter im Vergleich mit Tokyo. Nach der Zugfahrt mit dem Shinkansen Hochgeschwindigkeitszug von Tokyo aus begaben wir uns direkt zum Kinkaku-ji Tempel der auch als der Goldene Pavillon bekannt ist. Die Au\u00dfenfassade ist vollst\u00e4ndig mit Blattgold \u00fcberzogen und es ist ein unvergesslicher Anblick. Wir hatten auch die Gelegenheit beim Verlassen des Tempels einen traditional Cache zu entdecken den Kinkakuji-Tempel #Kinukake road (GC3B9NY<\/a>) – es ist immer sch\u00f6n ein Ort mit einem Smiley auf der Karte markieren zu k\u00f6nnen!<\/p>\n

\"Golden<\/a>
Golden Pavillon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Einer der H\u00f6hepunkte unserer Reise war der Besuch des fantastischen Fushimi Inari-Taisha Schreins knapp au\u00dferhalb von Kyoto – bekannt vor allen f\u00fcr seine 10.000 Torii <\/a>, die Tunnels of Vermillion<\/a> sind mit nichts vergleichbar was ich bisher gesehen hatte. Wir trafen auch zwei franz\u00f6sische Geocacher beim Red Torii (GC56M9R<\/a>) Cache, einen sehr geschickt versteckten und gut in die Umgebung eingepassten Cache.<\/p>\n

Nara<\/h2>\n

Auf unsere Reise nahmen wir auch die unbedingte Empfehlung mit den Nara National Park zu besuchen, also legten wir die kurze Strecke dorthin von Kyoto aus mit dem Zug zur\u00fcck. Nara ist ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr seine frei laufenden Sikahirschen die auch manchmal den Park verlassen und auf den Stra\u00dfen rundherum zu sehen sind. Die Rehe n\u00e4hern sich ohne Scheu um Essen, Rehcracker oder \u2018shika senbei\u2019 zu erhaschen. Dies war eine magischsten Erfahrungen die ich je gemacht habe und einer der Gr\u00fcnde warum ich Japan so lieben lernte. Es gibt auch einige Geocaches im Park wie das Nara National Museum (GC37DEX<\/a>) und die Deer Park Rest Area (GC49CW9<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Ebenfalls im Nara National Park befindet sich der T\u014ddai-ji Tempel, der den Welt gr\u00f6\u00dften Bronze-Buddha beherbergt. Man muss Ihn wirklich sehen um das auch zu glauben: Er ist riesig! Einen netten, kleinen Geocache fanden wir nahe des Nandaimon Gate, Todaiji \u6771\u5927\u5bfa\u5357\u5927\u9580 (GC6CGRV<\/a>), w\u00e4hrend wir zusahen wie ein Reh die Jause eines Besuchers aus dessen Hand fra\u00df!<\/p>\n

\nWir haben nur einen verschwindend kleinen Bruchteil dessen gesehen was Japan zu bieten hat und freuen uns auf einen ausgedehntere Reise nach Japan in hoffentlich nicht allzu ferne Zukunft.<\/p>\n
