Seit langen verfolgte ich den gedanken an eine ausgedehntere Geocaching-Tour mit meinem Scooter. Irgendwann letztes Jahr entdeckte ich das es einen Geocache gibt der sich \u00fcber die ganze L\u00e4nge des Goldenen Pfades im B\u00f6hmischen Paradies erstreckt (ein UNESCO Geopark im wundersch\u00f6nen, bergigen Teil meiner Heimat). W\u00fcrde ich diese Strecke als Wanderung zur\u00fccklegen so w\u00e4ren zumindest 3-4 Tage zu kalkulieren, wof\u00fcr ich niemanden als Mitstreiter begeistern k\u00f6nnte. Man k\u00f6nnte die Tour auch in Teilstrecken absolvieren – nur w\u00e4re das Gesamterlebnis sicher wenig zufriedenstellend. Womit ich auf w\u00e4rmeres Wetter gewartet habe um die Strecke mit dem Scooter zu fahren – und die Zeit war nun gekommen. Das Cache Listing enthielt auch eine Bivvy-Liste und auch die Route an sich war klar womit ich die Sache kurzentschlossen in Angriff nahm – die Tour dauerte 2 Tage mit einer \u00dcbernachtung in der Pantheon-H\u00f6hle. Da es abzusehen war das ich auch anspruchsvolles Terrain zu bew\u00e4ltigen haben w\u00fcrde fertigte ich einen Tragegurt f\u00fcr den Scooter um ihn bequemer tragen zu k\u00f6nnen. Selbstverst\u00e4ndlich konnte ich auch das Gep\u00e4ck abnehmen um die ganze Ausr\u00fcstung St\u00fcck f\u00fcr St\u00fcck \u00fcber einzelne Passagen bef\u00f6rdern zu k\u00f6nnen was aber nur im Extremfall – genauer gesagt insgesamt dreimal in diesen zwei Tagen – n\u00f6tig war.<\/p>\n

Vor der Reise hatte ich die Route bei Mapy.cz<\/a> geplant und \u00fcber Dropbox nach Locus importiert. Neben der klassischen Navigation bietet Locus auch eine Routenf\u00fchrung entlang des Weges, die ich aber nicht ben\u00f6tigte. <\/span>F\u00fcr mich reicht es die Route und meine Position auf der Karte zu sehen. Eine weitere n\u00fctzliche Funktion ist die Anzeige der Entfernung zum Ende der Route beim Tippen auf die Karte. Ich habe oft einen Blick darauf geworfen, speziell in schwierigen Passagen, um das Gef\u00fchl zu haben das ich doch einige Kilometer hinter mich gebracht habe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das Dashboard ist auch ein n\u00fctzliches Feature. Es ist vollst\u00e4ndig Anpassbar mit unz\u00e4hligen Info-Feldern und Einstellungen. Ich habe ein Dashboard mit Anzeige der Gel\u00e4ndeh\u00f6he, zur\u00fcckgelegter Wegstrecke und Geschwindigkeit gew\u00e4hlt bzw. Zu tragen kommt dies wenn Sie den Track aufzeichnen – was ich am zweiten Tag machte nachdem die Batterie meines Garmins leer war.<\/p>\n

Eine Funktion die ich auch oft verwende ist die schnelle Routenplanung. Diese ist sehr praktisch wenn Sie den Akku nicht durch das Herunterladen von Online-Daten unn\u00f6tig belasten wollen oder wenn Sie sich abseits der Wege durchschlagen wollen. Ich verwende diese Funktion haupts\u00e4chlich zur Absch\u00e4tzung der Streckenl\u00e4ngen in mir unbekannten Terrain da ich diese oft untersch\u00e4tze und dann auch mal mitten Wald strande – ohne Trinkwasser und Verpflegung. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\nAm zweiten Tag verwendete ich Locus auch f\u00fcr die Aufzeichnung des Tracks. Die Aufzeichnung funktionierte reibungslos und da das GPS eingeschaltet war nutzte ich es auch f\u00fcr die Zielf\u00fchrung zu den Geocaches – wobei ich nicht immerzu auf die Entfernung zum Cache achten musste da Locus mich immer benachrichtigte wenn meine Entfernung zum Cache weniger als 100m betrug. Diese Distanz-Benachrichtigung kann selbstverst\u00e4ndlich auf die pers\u00f6nlichen Vorlieben eingestellt werden, wie es auch f\u00fcr nahezu alle Einstellungen in dieser APP der Fall ist. Der Bildschirm f\u00fcr die Zielf\u00fchrung mag ein wenig verwirrend wirken, bei genauerer Betrachtung sieht man das die obere Linie die Distanz von Ihrer aktuellen Position zum Kartencursor und die untere, rote Linie die Entfernung zum Cache und die erwartete Ankunftszeit (ETA) anzeigt.<\/p>\n

\nIch muss sagen das ich Locus wirklich begeistert bin. Ich habe Endomondo deinstalliert und werde wohl auch meinen alten Garmin in den Ruhestand schicken – der Support f\u00fcr dieses alten Modell ist gleich Null. Meine Freunde – Ihres Zeichens L\u00e4ufer – werden den AudioCoach sehr zu sch\u00e4tzen wissen da hier das Smartphone im Rucksack verbleiben kann. Es ist auch m\u00f6glich Warnmeldungen bei verlassen der Route einzustellen – wenn die Routenf\u00fchrung genau und klar ist stelle ich hier einen Wert von 50m ein, wenn die Route nur ungef\u00e4hr bekannt ist einen Wert von 200m.<\/p>\n

\nAuch mein Scooter hat mich auf der ganzen Tour nicht im Stich gelassen. Lediglich eine Halteschraube f\u00fcr das Gep\u00e4ck lockerte sich, was aber kein Problem darstellte. Wenn ich zur\u00fcckdenke welches Terrain zu bew\u00e4ltigen war – die ganzen Schl\u00e4ge und St\u00f6\u00dfe – ist das eigentlich ein Wunder. Zusammenfassend m\u00f6chte ich sagen das ich, obwohl ich dachte das ich das B\u00f6hmische Paradies ganz gut zu kennen, einige Orte fand die ich noch nie vorher gesehen hatte – was sebstverst\u00e4ndlich eine weitere, zuk\u00fcnftige Tour bedingt.<\/p>\n

Und nat\u00fcrlich wieder mit Locus!<\/p>\n
