Podle nastaven\u00ed profilu z\u00e1znamu se mohou tyto body zaznamen\u00e1vat t\u0159eba po metru nebo po dvou sekund\u00e1ch pohybu, a z\u00e1znam je tak zna\u010dn\u011b podrobn\u00fd &#8211; na mnoha map\u00e1ch tuto podrobnost ani neocen\u00edte kv\u016fli jejich mal\u00e9mu m\u011b\u0159\u00edtku, nemluv\u011b o mnohdy nevaln\u00e9 p\u0159esnosti GPS v \u010dlenit\u00e9m ter\u00e9nu. Ta m\u00e1 za n\u00e1sledek z\u00e1kres trasy pln\u00fd kudrlinek, kter\u00e9 jsme v\u016fbec nepro\u0161li. Ur\u010duje dobu, po kterou m\u00e1 GPS jednotka vyhled\u00e1vat satelity pro v\u00fdpo\u010det va\u0161\u00ed polohy. Zejm\u00e9na v \u010dlenit\u00e9m ter\u00e9nu jako jsou hlubok\u00e9 rokle, ka\u0148ony, vysok\u00e9 hust\u00e9 lesy nebo i hust\u00e1 vysok\u00e1 m\u011bstsk\u00e1 z\u00e1stavba j\u00ed to m\u016f\u017ee trvat d\u00e9le a Locus ji vypne, ani\u017e by v\u00e1s lokalizovala.
