Na \u00favod trocha historie…<\/h3>\n

P\u0159ed dvaceti lety, kdy\u017e jste pot\u0159ebovali mapu pro sv\u00e9 outdoorov\u00e9 aktivity ve Velk\u00e9 Brit\u00e1nii, jste m\u011bli mo\u017enost vybrat si pouze pap\u00edrov\u00e9 mapy od vydavatelstv\u00ed Ordnance Survey. Bu\u010f v m\u011b\u0159\u00edtku 1:50000 (tzv. \u201cLandranger<\/strong>\u201d) nebo 1:25000 (s n\u00e1zvem \u201cExplorer<\/strong>\u201d). U\u017eivatelsk\u00e9 GPSky byly teprve v plenk\u00e1ch a o smartphonech nem\u011bl nikdo ani tu\u0161en\u00ed. Dnes je situace pon\u011bkud jin\u00e1 – samostatn\u00e9 GPS p\u0159\u00edstroje jsou za zenitem a aktivn\u00ed ve\u0159ejnost se vrhla sm\u011brem k chytr\u00fdm telefon\u016fm s mapov\u00fdmi aplikacemi, kter\u00e9 umo\u017e\u0148uj\u00ed snadnou manipulaci s mapou, uk\u00e1\u017eou polohu na map\u011b a k tomu nab\u00edzej\u00ed mno\u017estv\u00ed dal\u0161\u00edch vychyt\u00e1vek<\/p>\n

Rastr nebo vektor?<\/h3>\n

Digit\u00e1ln\u00ed mapy, pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9 v t\u011bchto za\u0159\u00edzen\u00edch byly d\u0159\u00edve rastrov\u00e9, dnes se pomalu p\u0159ech\u00e1z\u00ed k vektoru. U rastru je mapa rozkouskov\u00e1na na jednotliv\u00e9 \u010dtverce – dla\u017edice, co\u017e jsou jednoduch\u00e9 obr\u00e1zky v n\u011bkter\u00e9m zn\u00e1m\u00e9m form\u00e1tu (t\u0159eba jpeg). U vektorov\u00fdch map jsou v\u0161echny informace obsa\u017eeny v datov\u00fdch elementech, opat\u0159en\u00fdch sou\u0159adnicemi a parametry, kter\u00e9 se teprve jako mapa vykresluj\u00ed p\u0159\u00edmo v aplikaci. Pokud zazoomujete rastrovou mapu, v\u0161e se zv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed jako pod lupou. Pokud zoomujete vektorovou mapu, jednotliv\u00e1 m\u00edsta na map\u011b se od sebe odd\u00e1l\u00ed, ale jednotliv\u00e9 elementy z\u016fstanou stejn\u00e9, nap\u0159. \u0161\u00ed\u0159ka cest.<\/p>\n

Hlavn\u00ed mapy Ordnance Survey (OS) jsou st\u00e1le dostupn\u00e9 v rastrov\u00e9m form\u00e1tu, ale jin\u00e9 lze po\u0159\u00eddit tak\u00e9 ve vektoru, n\u011bkter\u00e9 dokonce zdarma.<\/p>\n

Z\u00e1klad – OpenStreetMap a Ordnance Survey Opendata<\/h3>\n

Mapy Open Street<\/strong> vznikly jako celosv\u011btov\u00fd komunitn\u00ed projekt, poskytuj\u00edc\u00ed mapu sv\u011bta zdarma. Data jsou sb\u00edr\u00e1na dobrovoln\u00edky, kte\u0159\u00ed pomoc\u00ed web\u016f a aplikac\u00ed vkl\u00e1daj\u00ed do obrovsk\u00e9 sd\u00edlen\u00e9 datab\u00e1ze m\u00edstn\u00ed informace – popisy a sou\u0159adnice staveb, lesn\u00edch ploch, \u0159ek, cest apod. Kdokoli m\u016f\u017ee do t\u00e9to datab\u00e1ze vstoupit a pravideln\u011b z n\u00ed \u010derpat. Takto to d\u011blaj\u00ed nejen velk\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti jako nap\u0159. Garmin <\/strong>nebo Mapsforge <\/strong>, ale tak\u00e9 Locus, kter\u00fd data vyu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 ve sv\u00fdch LoMap\u00e1ch<\/strong>. J\u00e1 samoz\u0159ejm\u011b tak\u00e9.<\/p>\n

V\u00fdhodou spole\u010dnost\u00ed jako Ordnance Survey<\/strong> je pravideln\u00e9 a konzistentn\u00ed mapov\u00e1n\u00ed krajiny. Nev\u00fdhodou je ov\u0161em cena (p\u0159esto\u017ee v posledn\u00edch letech zna\u010dn\u011b klesla), a tak\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed chyb\u011bj\u00edc\u00edch informac\u00ed (nap\u0159. obchody, bankomaty, n\u00e1zvy ulic). A tak\u00e9 aktualizace topografick\u00e9 vrstvy, kter\u00e1 prob\u00edh\u00e1 pouze v period\u00e1ch n\u011bkolika let.<\/p>\n

V\u00fdhodou Open Street Map<\/strong> je rychlost aktualizace mapov\u00e9ho d\u00edla v \u0159\u00e1du dn\u00ed (nebo i rychleji) a tak\u00e9 bohatstv\u00ed dat. To je ov\u0161em vyv\u00e1\u017eeno jejich nekonzistentnost\u00ed. \u017de si Joe zmapuje v\u0161echny uli\u010dky na parkovi\u0161ti p\u0159ed sv\u00fdm obchodem neznamen\u00e1, \u017ee to sam\u00e9 u\u010din\u00ed Jill na opa\u010dn\u00e9 stran\u011b m\u011bsta. Ve m\u011bstech a popul\u00e1rn\u00edch regionech tohle probl\u00e9m b\u00fdt nemus\u00ed, jeliko\u017e se zde nach\u00e1z\u00ed velk\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed p\u0159isp\u011bvatel\u016f. Ale v odlehlej\u0161\u00edch oblastech, jako nap\u0159\u00edklad Stow hill na obr\u00e1zku, chyb\u00ed spousta dat. Dal\u0161\u00edm probl\u00e9mem OSM map nen\u00ed ani tak hustota cestn\u00ed s\u00edt\u011b, jako sp\u00ed\u0161 jejich klasifikace z hlediska povolen\u00ed vstupu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kdy\u017e OS uvolnili \u010d\u00e1st sv\u00fdch mapov\u00fdch podklad\u016f zdarma s otev\u0159enou licenc\u00ed, rozhodl jsem se propojit to nejlep\u0161\u00ed z obou zdroj\u016f ve vlastn\u00ed map\u011b<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

OS Opendata<\/strong> zahrnuj\u00ed mno\u017estv\u00ed mapov\u00fdch produkt\u016f, z nich moje mapa vyu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 pouze n\u011bkter\u00e9: \u201cLocal<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cDistrict<\/strong>\u201d a \u201cTerrain 50<\/strong>\u201d. Ov\u0161em hranice pozemk\u016f a p\u011b\u0161iny nejsou zahrnuty ani v jednom z nich, tak jsem se musel poohl\u00e9dnout po jin\u00e9m zdroji. Webov\u00e1 str\u00e1nka \u201cwww.rowmaps.com<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> agreguje informace o p\u0159\u00edstupnosti cest z m\u00edstn\u00edch samospr\u00e1v v Anglii a Wales. Pro Skotsko, kde plat\u00ed jin\u00e1 pravidla, jsem \u010derpal z \u201cCore Path<\/strong>\u201d datab\u00e1ze, pln\u011bn\u00e9 n\u011bkter\u00fdmi m\u00edstn\u00edmi spolky, v\u010detn\u011b Highlands. (P\u0159edpokl\u00e1d\u00e1m, \u017ee to jsou jedin\u00e9 mapy, reflektuj\u00edc\u00ed Core Paths.) Na soukrom\u00fdch pozemc\u00edch a chr\u00e1n\u011bn\u00fdch \u00fazem\u00edch jako jsou lesy a p\u0159\u00edropdn\u00ed rezervace existuj\u00ed cesty s povolen\u00edm pohybu, bohu\u017eel nejsou ofici\u00e1ln\u011b zn\u00e1m\u00e9. V takov\u00fdch p\u0159\u00edpadech \u010derp\u00e1m z Open Street Map – stejbn\u011b tak v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b ob\u010dansk\u00e9 vybavenosti – hospody, ve\u0159ejn\u00e9 toalety, leti\u0161t\u011b, opu\u0161t\u011bn\u00e9 \u017eeleznice nebo rozhledny. Cesty s povolen\u00edm ke vstupu zna\u010d\u00edm zelen\u011b nebo fialov\u011b, ostatn\u00ed stezky \u010derven\u011b. Viz legenda.<\/p>\n

Moje mapy<\/h3>\n

Moje mapy obsahuj\u00ed ve\u0161ker\u00e9 stavby, cesty, \u017eeleznice, \u0159eky a lesy z map OS, dopln\u011bn\u00e9 dal\u0161\u00edmi daty zm\u00edn\u011bn\u00fdmi v\u00fd\u0161e. Vrstevnice a v\u00fd\u0161kov\u00e9 k\u00f3ty jsou uvedeny v metrech<\/strong>. D\u00edky informac\u00edm o povolen\u00ed ke vstupu se m\u016f\u017eete bez obav vydat, kudy pot\u0159ebujete, a tak\u00e9 si m\u016f\u017eete b\u00fdt jisti, \u017ee va\u0161e trase nebude zablokov\u00e1na nezn\u00e1mou \u0159ekou \u010di jinou p\u0159ek\u00e1\u017ekou. Bohu\u017eel, nena\u0161el jsem ale \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fd vhodn\u00fd zdroj dostupn\u00fdch informac\u00ed o hranic\u00edch pozemk\u016f.<\/p>\n

Z\u00e1v\u011brem obecn\u00e9 hodnocen\u00ed – OS nab\u00edz\u00ed nejpodrobn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed topografick\u00e9 mapy za nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed cenu. Pokud pl\u00e1nujete cestovat do oblasti dob\u0159e pokryt\u00e9 OSM daty, vysta\u010d\u00edte si s LoMapami. Ov\u0161em pokud se chyst\u00e1te trochu v\u00edce „do divo\u010diny“, pak jsou moje mapy asi nejlep\u0161\u00ed volbou.<\/p>\n
